AppliTek introduces all new on-line analyzer system for HCl in EDC

<B>AppliTek introduced today a unique on-line analyzer technology for the on-line determination of Hydrogen Chloride (HCl) in Ethylene dichloride EDC.</B>
Most EDC is produced by chlorination or oxychlorination to be used further in the production of Vinyl Chloride (VC).
Liquid Ethylene dichloride is also used as a commercial available product and transported e.g. by ship. All commercially available EDC must be free of HCl to prevent corrosion of the storage and handling equipment.
For this reason it is advisable to continuously monitor downstream the purification column the HCl concentration in EDC.
Typical range: 0 - 10 ppm HCl in EDC
Protection: EEx zone II 2G conform ATEX (NEC500 on request)
