Belgium China Economic and Trade Forum in the Presence of HE Xi Jinping and HRH Prince Philippe

"AppliTek's China Team" headed by its CEO and its China Region Manager will be attending the China Economic and Trade Forum in the Presence of His Excellency Xi Jinping, Vice-President of the People's Republic of China, and His Royal Highness Prince Philippe on Friday, 9 October 2009
This forum is organised by the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB) and the China Investment Promotion Agency, in cooperation with the Belgian-ChineseChamber of Commerce and the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, and with the kind support of the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs, the regional export agencies and the Ministry of Commerce, P.R. China.This session will focus on the investment and trade opportunities that exist or can be developed between Chinese and Belgian companies with contributions by highlevel officials and business executives from both countries.
AppliTek will be meeting with Chinese officials and companies that have expressed an interest in AppliTek products for monitoring the environment in China.
One of the consequences of the People's Republic of China's rapid industrial development has been increased pollution, smog, and degradation of natural resources. Water pollution is a major concern, as it is in the rest of the world.
However, China has achieved some significant improvements to its environment during the recent years. According to the World Bank, 'China is one of a few countries in the world that have been rapidly increasing their forest cover. It is managing to reduce air and water pollution. AppliTek is proud to help China in this improvement by supplying them high-quality water monitoring devices.
