AppliTek further diversifies in Vietnam

In line with its strategy for South East Asia, AppliTek finished last week the formalities for a distribution agreement with two representative companies. “Due to Vietnam’s typical regional differences and the distance between the North and the South of the country”, according to AppliTek CEO Mr. David Laurier, “a specific agreement was needed to address the local needs of the Vietnamese market, reaching out to every single province.”
The companies will focus on Sales & service of AppliTek’s on-line analyzers for either waste water treatment plants, but also its dedicated monitoring stations for surface water applications.
During a conference in Hanoi, Deputy Public Security Minister Pham Quy Ngo made a statement on Vietnam's environmental protection regulations. According to him, basic challenges facing environmental protection include:
The contradictions between environmental protection and sustainable development, economic growth and job generation;
The need for infrastructure against outdated environmental protection technology and the increasing amount of waste;
The increasing demand of capital for environmental protection against the State budget and investment.
Although he applauded the achievements made in environmental protection, the Minister emphasized also that environmental protection was a common task for the entire population, as it is in every country on the globe. With this is mind, AppliTek is proud to contribute to the country’s endeavours for a sustainable environment programme by having concluded this agreement.
