AppliTek CEO attended charity event for Japan in Beijing

After the devastating earthquake Japan is suffering and needs the support that it has so often shown others.
The charity event was organized on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Belgian Embassy in Beijing, China, and was a great success, with a massive turnout!
The Belgian Embassy has provided space for the Japan Women's Association to collect for a fund for the people of Japan.
The Belgian Ambassador to China, HE Patrick Nijs and his spouse, Mrs. Gu Jing, a native of Suzhou. Mrs. Gu Jing’s father is Chinese and her mother Japanese, hence her other name Kosei Murata. The Ambassador and his wife also experienced the earthquake in Kobe, when Mr. Nijs was then a Consul General in Osaka, Japan.
There were traditional Japanese dance performances by a Japanese master, Chinese Instrument Erhu rendition played by a famous Chinese musician, a Japanese tea ceremony, origami for Children, charity sales and other events.
David Laurier, AppliTek President & CEO, was present on behalf of all AppliTek people, and as a tribute to the people of Japan. On the picture, Mr. Laurier can be seen during the charity sales event.
