Calling Belgium “an important partner of China in the European Union,” relations between China and Belgium have maintained robust momentum in recent years. Michel’s visit to Beijing coincides with the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, the spokesperson said, adding it will be conducive to all-round bilateral cooperation and important for the stable development of China-Belgium and China-EU relations.
