Innovation Award Goes to Hach for Self-Cleaning Heavy-Duty Filtration Systems

Hach’s Joel Theytaz and Daniel Palomino with the Innovation Award banner

We are excited to share that our self-cleaning heavy-duty filtration systems won the Innovation Award at the aqua pro exhibition in Bulle, Switzerland. Submitted by the local Hach team the system was selected from ten applications that had to meet strict admission criteria: a genuine innovation in the technical, industrial and commercial sense; real added value for users or operators; marketing in Switzerland at least one month before the fair opens.

The heavy-duty filtration system enables the real-time monitoring of sludge in the wastewater treatment process. Everything is under control: from the intake of sludge and wastewater to the measurement of toxicity. “The WWTP is the last bulwark before the great outdoors. By controlling sludge and wastewater as closely as possible, the safety of the wastewater treatment plant can be increased and its costs reduced,” the team wrote in the application. Convinced by this innovative system, the qualified jury selected it as the winner of the aqua pro trade fair’s Innovation 2022 award.

About the EZ9100 Series Heavy-Duty Filtration Systems

The EZ9100 is a filtration system developed to make solid-free samples from heavily charged liquids available for online analysis. Devoid of overly complex engineering, they can handle the difficult properties of wastewater charged with high levels of insoluble constituents.
